Rodrigo Correa Minuzzo

Rodrigo is an Italo-Brazilian law graduate from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia, where he qualified as a lawyer. Prior to joining the MIDS, he worked as an associate in Brigard Urrutia, one of Colombia’s leading law firms. He worked in the Customs and International Trade, as well as Foreign Exchange and International Investments practice areas, fostering collaboration between both fields and contributing to various trade defense investigations. Previously, he interned at the International Legal Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, where he participated in the legal scrub of the FTA between the Pacific Alliance and Singapore. 

During Rodrigo’s academic journey, he actively participated in the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition (JHJMCC), where his team won the Best Written Complainant Submission and reached the semi-finals of the Final Oral Round in Geneva. Following this, he coached two teams in the competition who also arrived to the Final Oral Round in Geneva. As an undergraduate student he worked as a research assistant on two investigative projects, including one with the Dean of the Faculty of law, and served as a teaching assistant for Manuel Enrique Cifuentes Muñoz. 

His passion for languages has led him to be fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, and he has obtained a French DALF C1 certification. He is currently learning German.
