Dr. Jane Willems specializes in international investment law and international arbitration.
She has served as arbitrator or chair in numerous international commercial arbitrations and investor arbitrations involving ICC, LCIA, CIETAC, BAC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. She has also served as counsel in BIT based investment arbitration proceedings.
She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Asian Academy of International Law (AAIL). She is the delegate of AAIL at the UNCITRAL Working Group III (Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform). She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Arbitration Commission, International Lawyers Organization.
She is admitted to practice to the Bar of the State of California and to the Bar of Paris. She holds a Master's degree in International Business Law from the University of Paris I School of Law and a Ph.D. in Law.
