Mar Campos Vives

Mar is a Spanish-qualified disputes lawyer with experience in international arbitration, antitrust, intellectual property and regulatory matters. She has supported complex disputes across the corporate, energy, pharmaceuticals and construction sectors. Mar holds an LL.B. from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where she graduated with honours. She then spent a year at the University of Oxford, where she completed a Diploma in Legal Studies, before obtaining a Master’s in Legal Practice from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid. Her studies at each stage were supported by full academic scholarships.

Prior to joining the MIDS, Mar built a versatile legal foundation by completing internships in various practice areas at leading law firms such as Uría Menéndez, Cuatrecasas, Pinsent Masons, and White & Case. In 2025, she joined the international arbitration and litigation department at Roca Junyent in Barcelona as a junior lawyer. There, she worked on ICC, LCIA, CIAM-CIAR and other institutional arbitrations, and undertook arbitrator-support work. She later joined the Secretariat of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), where she supported the administration of high-stakes disputes under the 2024 HKIAC Rules.

Mar is an active member of the arbitration community. She has co-authored an article on the transfer of the arbitration agreement under Spanish law, forthcoming in Arbitration International (Oxford Academic), and her moot court work has earned her several distinctions, including a prize for one of the best arbitral awards at the Madrid Commercial Arbitration Moot. She is a member of Young ICCA and will be part of the first MIDS team to compete in the Sports Arbitration Moot.

Outside of arbitration, Mar enjoys travelling and volunteering, and has taken part in two international volunteer projects in Istanbul and Cairo. In addition to her native Spanish and Catalan, she speaks fluent English and is currently learning French.
