Khrystyna Pogoretska

Khrystyna is a Ukraine-qualified lawyer with extensive expertise in international arbitration and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the MIDS, Khrystyna worked at a leading international law firm, where she gained a first-hand experience in investor-State arbitration disputes. This opportunity allowed her to hone her skills in legal research and drafting across various areas of international investment law.

 

Khrystyna has also significant experience in commercial litigation and international commercial arbitration. She worked as an Associate at leading Ukrainian law firms where she regularly advised clients on different aspects of their disputes and represented them before national courts. Her industry focus includes disputes related to agriculture, energy and financial sectors.

 

Khrystyna was admitted to the Ukrainian Bar in 2022. She holds LL.B. with distinction from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (2017) and LL.M. from the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (2019). During her studies she participated in the John H. Jackson Moot Court, where her team won the Best Written Memorandum Award for the Respondent.

 

Aiming to expand her professional horizons, Khrystyna also completed the Summer Courses in Private International Law at the Hague Academy of International Law and attended the Summer School on Civil Law at the University Panthéon-Assas.
