Gaone Morgan is an admitted attorney in Botswana with six years of professional experience, including five years in service with the Government of the Republic of Botswana. She currently works as a State Counsel at the Ministry of Justice within the Department of Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) - International and Commercial Division, where she provides legal counsel at Ministerial Level.
Gaone holds both a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) specializing in International Economic Law from the University of the Free State in South Africa, as well as a Diploma in International Arbitration from the Africa Arbitration Academy. With a strong desire to further develop her skills in International Arbitration, she is currently pursuing an additional LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement through the MIDS program, a joint initiative of the University of Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute.
As a specialist in International Economic Law, Gaone has worked on projects alongside leading industry experts from esteemed organizations, including the World Bank and the European Union. Her broad expertise and dedication to continuous learning make her a valuable contributor to the field of international arbitration.
Additionally, she was nominated as a Young African Trade Expert Fellow 2022-2023 by the Trade Experettes, an Organization hailed for its commitment in promoting and empowering women at all stages of their careers to achieve their goals in trade.
