Candela Rodríguez Misol

Candela is a lawyer from Uruguay. She graduated from the University of Montevideo in 2021, where she was awarded the Scholarship for Academic Excellence. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Universidad CAECE in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She has more than four years of experience in international arbitration and litigation. Prior to joining the MIDS, Candela worked in the Administrative Law, Economic Regulation, and International Arbitration Department at the Argentine law firm Bomchil, in Montevideo, Uruguay. In this role, she represented companies in arbitration proceedings and served as secretary to arbitral tribunals.

Her experience includes cases under the ICC and LCIA Rules, as well as proceedings before several arbitral institutions across Latin America, such as the General Arbitral Tribunal of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (TGA BCBA), the Panama Conciliation and Arbitration Center (CECAP), and the International Arbitration and Mediation Center in Ecuador (CIAM), among others.

In addition to her professional practice, Candela served as an Assistant Professor of Procedural Law I and II at the University of Montevideo from 2023 to July 2025, and as a Visiting Lecturer on Arbitration in the Master’s Program in Procedural Law at the same university.
