Arinze Ezeagu

Arinze Ezeagu is a Nigerian-qualified lawyer with over four years of experience in commercial arbitration, litigation, trade advisory and dispute settlement, white-collar crime, and investigations. Prior to pursuing his postgraduate studies, he worked as an associate at AO2LAW and Lawvocates Attorneys, two mid-sized law firms based in Lagos, Nigeria. During this time, he represented and advised a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors including aviation, FMCG, construction, and energy.
Arinze also interned with the Dispute Settlement Team at Dentons, a leading international law firm with a presence in Lagos, where he gained valuable experience in high-stakes commercial disputes.

Before joining the MIDS (Master in International Dispute Settlement) program, Arinze obtained an LL.M. from the World Trade Institute, University of Bern. While at the WTI, he participated in the institute’s moot court held at the World Trade Organization (WTO), where he received the award for Best Written Submission. Following this, he interned at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the WTO, where he supported the Ambassador in drafting Nigeria’s position papers on key WTO issues.
Arinze is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and the Association of Young Arbitrators. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2019.
