Angelica is a Philippine-qualified lawyer with over four years of experience in dispute resolution. She earned her Juris Doctor degree and graduated with Second Honors from Far Eastern University – Institute of Law in Makati City. She was awarded a full scholarship by The Hague Academy of International Law, in honour of the late Philippine Supreme Court Justice and World Trade Organization Appellate Body Chair Florentino Feliciano, to attend the 2024 Summer Courses in Private International Law in the Netherlands.
As an active mooter during law school, she placed Third Runner-Up in the Asia-Pacific Regional Rounds of the 2018 Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot Court Competition in South Korea and proceeded to the Global Rounds in Sweden. She then served as Memorial Judge for the 2025 and 2026 Global Rounds in the United States and China.
She gained exposure to international arbitration, particularly in cases before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, Permanent Court of Arbitration, and International Chamber of Commerce, as a legal intern at the Office of the Solicitor General, the principal law officer of the Philippine government. Upon admission to the Bar in 2022, she began working as an Associate Solicitor in the same office, representing the State in litigation and arbitration involving energy, transportation, and infrastructure disputes, as well as in criminal, civil, and special proceedings cases before appellate courts. She also co-authored the Philippine written statement for the climate change advisory proceedings before the International Court of Justice.
To deepen her interest in the intersection of international dispute resolution with other areas of law, she completed training programmes with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, Columbia University’s Center on Sustainable Investment, and Philippine International Law of the Sea Academy. Beyond her legal pursuits, she holds a DELF B2 diploma in French.
