Aecaterini is an LL.M. Candidate in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). Before joining the MIDS, she was a Pupil Advocate at Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC, a leading law firm in Nicosia, Cyprus, where she gained experience across corporate, commercial, regulatory, compliance and litigation matters. She passed the Cyprus Bar Exam in June 2025 and completed her 12-month traineeship in September 2025.
Aecaterini holds an LL.B. (Hons) from King's College London, where she graduated with First Class Honours and received the ‘Bindman Prize’ for achieving the highest grade in Anti-Discrimination Law. Her coursework focused on the inter-state dispute between Cyprus and Turkey and explored the potential for resolution through arbitration.
She represented King’s College London at the 2024 European Regional Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition in Vienna, Austria and attended the 2024 UN COPUOS Legal Sub-Committee as a delegate of the European Space Agency. Her extracurricular involvement extends to volunteering with Refugee Support and Global Brigades, where she worked with asylum seekers and migrants in Cyprus and Greece.
She also has institutional experience as an atypical intern at the Press Office of the European Commission Representation in Cyprus, where she reported on domestic developments relating to the rule of law and at the Consular Department of the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in the UK, where she assisted with communications concerning Cypriot nationals abroad.
