Keynote speakers

  • Opening Keynote: Clovis Trevino, Partner at Covington & Burling (Washington, DC). This marks the first time that a MIDS alumnus has delivered a keynote address at the MAA Annual Conference.
  • Closing Keynote: Prof. Marcelo Kohen, Emeritus Professor, IHEID.

Panel discussions

Three expert panels will explore the conference theme through the lenses of public international law, trade and investment law, and international commercial arbitration:

  • Security Exceptions: The Evolution of "Essential Security" Clauses in Modern Trade and Investment Treaties
