MIDS Spring Lecture 2025 Arbitrating in the Age of Chaos

The MIDS is delighted to welcome you to its Annual Lecture with Professor Felix Dasser, Senior Partner, Homburger, and President of the Swiss Arbitration Association, on 'Arbitrating in the Age of Chaos':

The world is undergoing political and legal turmoil. Headlines even evoke an "Age of Chaos". Uncertainty prevails as nobody has a crystal ball. This does not deter Professor Dasser from sharing his thoughts on the implications of the turmoil on arbitration and on MIDS graduates in particular.

Felix Dasser is President of the Swiss Arbitration Association since 2020. He is a partner and former head of the dispute resolution practice of Swiss firm Homburger. He has more than 30 years of experience with a focus on litigating and arbitrating international commercial disputes. He sits as arbitrator and acts as counsel in proceedings under various arbitration rules. Felix Dasser is also a habilitated adjunct professor at the University of Zurich on private law, and private international and comparative law, and is often retained as expert witness on Swiss substantive and procedural law. He taught e.g. at the Hague Academy of International Law and is a visiting professor at the China University of Political Science and Law on international commercial arbitration.
